Where global insights meet local action

APAC & Japan (excl. China)

Japan and the Asia-Pacific region continue to set benchmarks for food safety and environmental standards, supported by the impressive track records of our member companies. Since strengthening our collaboration with the Coalitions of Action in early 2020, members have successfully used the CGF platform to translate global frameworks into regional progress across food safety, product safety, health, and human rights due diligence.

We are fostering high-level engagement through initiatives such as Japan Day, the Asia Retailers CEO Circle, and Japan Food Safety Day. These forums provide essential opportunities to share insights on addressing regional priorities while contributing to global objectives.

By sharing best practices and technical expertise, we remain committed to supporting our members in navigating complex regulatory environments and advancing informed business activities.

EMEA

Our EMEA regional office serves as a vital link between the CGF’s global mission and the specific business realities of Europe and the Middle East. We provide a sophisticated platform for our members to navigate a rapidly evolving landscape, focusing on critical areas such as the climate transition, digital transformation and AI.

At the heart of our regional engagement are our CEO Roundtables. These exclusive, pre-competitive forums allow industry leaders to step back from daily operations and engage in high-level dialogue on the most pressing business topics. By sharing perspectives on emerging regulations and societal expectations, members gain the collective intelligence necessary to build resilient organisations.

Greater China

Our members in China have built a distinguished track record of leadership, particularly in advancing food safety standards through the GFSI and the China Local Group. This foundational work paved the way for the opening of our Shanghai office in 2018 and the subsequent formation of the China Board of Directors in 2019.

Today, the CGF platform in China serves as a high-level forum for CEOs to navigate the unique challenges of the Chinese market. By convening through dedicated working groups, our members share voluntary best practices and technical insights across critical areas such as consumer health and product data transparency. These exchanges provide the collective intelligence necessary for leaders to implement global frameworks locally, ensuring business resilience and consumer trust through informed, independent action.

Latin America

With our regional office in Bogotá, Colombia, Latin America is a cornerstone of our regionalisation strategy. Our members—supported by our LATAM Board of Directors—apply global frameworks to local realities, from Mexico to Argentina.

The region is a hub for peer-to-peer learning on critical pillars including health, sustainability, and data transparency. By participating in these regional forums, members gain the collective intelligence needed to tackle supply chain and food safety challenges through informed, independent business action.

North America

In North America, The Consumer Goods Forum provides a unique platform for members to translate global frameworks into regional success. By convening industry leaders across the U.S. and Canada, we facilitate the exchange of voluntary best practices that strengthen business resilience and consumer trust.

Our regional initiatives empower members to lead on the most pressing challenges facing the North American market. This includes fostering healthier consumer lifestyles through our CHL programme and advancing circularity by sharing insights on food waste and carbon reduction. Through our active GFSI Local Groups and innovation hubs, we provide the technical benchmarks and practical tools necessary to enhance supply chain integrity.

By participating in these pre-competitive forums, your organisation gains the collective intelligence needed to make a measurable impact through informed, independent business leadership.
