Paris and Bogota, 22nd April 2022 – The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) and the Federación Nacional de Comerciantes Empresarios (FENALCO), the Colombian National Federation of Retailers, announce a strategic alliance to boost innovation, competitiveness, training, and to develop the consumer goods industry in Colombia through education, knowledge and best practice sharing.
The strategic alliance was launched during an event that took place on 7th April 2022, at the Hotel Estelar in Bogota, Colombia, in the presence of more than 80 CEOs and C-suite executives from the biggest and most relevant Colombian consumer goods retailers and manufacturers. The event included presentations from Jaime Alberto Cabal Sanclemente, President, FENALCO; Carlos Mario Giraldo Moreno, CEO, Grupo Éxito; and Erika Rodríguez, General Manager, CGF LATAM. All presenters highlighted the relevance of collaboration among institutions and encouraged companies to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the CGF.
Jaime Alberto Cabal Sanclemente, President, FENALCO, said, “This is an invaluable opportunity, not only for companies associated to FENALCO, but also for the business community in general, to adopt international practices and standards that will allow us to overcome the challenges that planet and society are facing, and build a sustainable future.”
