BEIJING and SHANGHAI, 18th October 2021 – The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) will host on 22nd November the fourth annual edition of the CGF China Day in Beijing. The event brings together some 300 senior executives from across the CGF membership in China, including CEOs from the CGF’s China Board of Directors, which is currently co-chaired by Daniel Zhang, Chairman & CEO, Alibaba Group and Angela Liu, CEO, New Hope Liuhe. The CGF will also host parallel events on 23rd November to deep dive into major topics impacting the consumer goods industry.
Themed “Creating a Common Prosperity Future Together”, this year’s CGF China Day aims to share cutting-edge insights and positive change best practices in food safety, health, sustainability, and the end-to-end value chain. CEO-level speakers from leading consumer goods companies will share their views on the following topics:
- Positive Change & Collaboration
- The Road to Carbon Neutrality 2060
- Challenges and Opportunities for Today’s Digitalisation
- Healthy & Sustainable Shopping Behaviours
- Global Consumer Insights
This year’s edition of the event will allow participants to gain a deeper understanding of the current situation and challenges, get an in-depth understanding of key innovative solutions, listen to inspiring stories across the industry, and meet face-to-face with influencers to ask questions and expand their professional networks.

On the 23rd November, following the China Day event, the CGF will then host its 2nd China Health and Sustainability Collaboration Conference. Under the theme “Acting Today to Shape Tomorrow: Innovation Drives Solutions for Health and Sustainability”, industry experts, academics and business representatives will exchange views on the influence that health and sustainability have over the entire consumer goods industry, especially under the current pandemic circumstances, and how to gain synergy in tackling these challenges faced by the industry and society in general.
Speakers from companies such as Procter & Gamble, Bright Dairy, Mars China, Danone China and Nestlé China will focus on topics such as “Consumption Trends of Healthy Food”, “Chinese Dietary Guidelines”, “Global Nutrition Standard”, “Employee Health”, “Zero Waste”, “Green Consumption”, “Golden Design Rules”, “Plastic Green Design”, “Collaboration for Healthier Lives China” and others.
The 23rd November will also welcome the first-ever CGF China Digital Supply Chain Conference, which is dedicated to the work of the CGF’s End-to-End Value Chain initiative and runs under the theme “Collaborate to Drive Positive Supply Chain Change”.
The event will welcome an outstanding line-up of speakers from companies such as Alibaba Group, Bright Dairy, Nestlé China, Intel China and Cardinal Operations, among others, to explore topics such as “E2E Capability Enhancement”, “Retailers & Manufacturers Collaboration”, “Digital Transformation”, and the “Smart Supply Chain”.
The CGF China Day 2021 and subsequent day’s events will take place at the InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun Hotel, Beijing, China.
