The Consumer Goods Forum’s (CGF) Forest Positive Coalition (FPC) is pleased to welcome a new member, ALDI SOUTH GROUP.
Anke Ehlers, Managing Director of International Sustainability at ALDI SOUTH Group, said, “At ALDI SOUTH Group we know that collaboration and collective action are the foundation for achieving a sustainable future. As a company, we are committed to partnering with the Consumer Goods Forum, our peers, our suppliers, and civil society to ensure a just transition to forest positive supply chains”.
The FPC is a CEO-led initiative representing 22 CGF member companies who are committed to leveraging collective action and accelerating systemic efforts to remove deforestation, forest degradation and conversion from key commodity supply chains.
The 22 FPC members are: ALDI SOUTH GROUP, Asia Paper and Pulp (APP) Sinar Mas, Carrefour, Colgate-Palmolive Company, Danone, Essity, General Mills, Grupo Bimbo, IKEA, Jerónimo Martins, Mars, Inc., McDonald’s, METRO AG, Mondelēz International, Neste, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Reckitt, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Unilever, and Walmart.
Launched in 2020, the FPC represents a dynamic shift in the industry’s approach to stopping deforestation: by mobilising the leading position of member companies to build multi-stakeholder partnerships and develop effective implementation and engagement strategies, the Coalition brings together diverse stakeholders for sustainable impact.
These efforts support the development of forest-positive businesses that drive transformational change in key landscapes and commodity supply chains, strengthening the resilience of communities and ecosystems worldwide. To learn more, visit www.tcgfforestpositive.com
