We are pleased to share the latest edition of the Global Climate Finance Report, a publication dedicated to raising awareness of and recognising organisations for their outstanding contributions in advancing the global climate change discussion. The 2016 edition showcased a wide variety of organisations including contributions from the United Nations Office for Project Services, the CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), the European Investment Bank and The Consumer Goods Forum among others.
The CGF welcomed the opportunity to participate in the report, sharing key insights on how to address climate change from our industry’s perspective. One of the key takeaways our organisation brought to the forefront was the critical role of multi-stakeholder collaborations in tackling climate change, highlighting key examples such as our work with the World Resources Institute, TFA2020, Champions 12.3 and the Banking Environment Initiative. The collective power of organisations, governments, civil society and the private sector through vital partnerships is what is needed to have the greatest impact in addressing this global challenge and ensuring global temperatures do not rise above 2 degrees.
