Global Summit
AGENDA HIGHLIGHTS
The 2025 Global Summit will tackle “5 Essential Conversations,” each a critical, interconnected issue. We will engage in thought-provoking discussions on the most urgent challenges, pushing one another to learn, act, and amplify our collective impact. These conversations will not end with the Summit—they will inspire lasting change long after it concludes.
The 5 Essential Conversations
1. Connecting with the Consumer
How are consumers changing? What are they seeking? Where is the growth? And how can we excite them? We will explore a wide array of consumer insights to think about how we can effectively connect with today’s and tomorrow’s consumers. We will hear from companies that have put consumers at the heart of what they do and how this can revitalise brands and unlock growth.
2. Driving Profitable Growth
Our challenging market calls for more business innovation than ever. We will explore forward-thinking strategies that enable businesses to scale. In particular, we will examine inspiring examples of ‘dual purpose’ innovations – i.e. those that drive growth and environmental stewardship and/or social responsibility. The ideal vision of the future will be when we start thinking about growth not in trade-off terms but as a symbiosis. We will explore how some companies are beginning to achieve this.
3. Leveraging Technological Advancements
The pace of technology-driven change is only accelerating. We will undertake a comprehensive analysis of the current and future technology landscape, thinking about critical innovations such as Generative AI, automation, blockchain, and the Internet of Things
(IoT). Our focus will be on how these technologies can generally help position consumer and retail businesses to achieve breakthroughs in productivity and profitability.
4. Collaborating for Sustainability
Sustainability has become a fundamental pillar of long-term business success, but achieving it requires collaboration across the value chain. We will assess our current sustainability initiatives and measure our progress. By examining inspiring case studies from companies that have successfully integrated sustainability into their business models, we will identify best practices and insights that companies can individually action. Through collaboration with
key stakeholders—ranging from suppliers to customers – we aim to drive forward our sustainability agenda, fostering innovation and ensuring that our sustainability efforts are both impactful and scalable.
5. Addressing Retail-Specific Challenges
The retail sector faces a unique set of challenges, from shifting consumer preferences to the complexities of supply chain management and the growing importance of e-commerce. On the final day of the Summit, we will address the most pressing issues facing the retail industry, with a focus on both regional and global challenges. Our discussions will cover critical topics such as adapting to the rise of digital commerce, optimizing brick-and-mortar operations in the face of declining foot traffic, and responding to the increasing demand for personalized and sustainable retail experiences.
