The coalition has engaged with certification schemes (FSC, PEFC & SFI) on aligning KPI methodologies, PPP roadmap and guidance. Currently the coalition and certification schemes are looking to expand the scope of engagement to cover key themes including traceability, EUDR, and criteria related to DCF. Initial engagements on this scope have been completed and the Coalition looks forward to seeing how engagement regarding this expanded scope unfolds.
Moreover, the Coalition engages with certification schemes in partnership with CGF’s Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative (SSCI), which supports organisations to recognise third-party auditing, monitoring and certification schemes and programmes that cover key sustainability requirements and apply relevant governance and verification through a comprehensive benchmarking process. This collaboration aims to avoid duplication of work and drive industry alignment of best practices. The coalition will continue to collaborate with SSCI, with the aim of extending our partnership to other commodity certification schemes in the future (e.g., RSPO in palm oil).
