A Collaborative Path Forward

With the recent G20 summit and the upcoming COP30 in 2025, Brazil stands ready to position forests as pivotal to its economic and environmental agenda. For the consumer goods industry, this creates a significant opportunity to align with global priorities by advancing deforestation-free supply chains and adopting sustainable sourcing practices.

Achieving a forest positive future means prioritising the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities while enhancing supply chain traceability and transparency. Businesses must remain committed to collective action, measurable outcomes, and ongoing collaboration with governments, NGOs, and local stakeholders.

The Consumer Goods Forum, with its commitment to driving positive change, plays a crucial role in uniting industry leaders to adopt strategies that protect forests while meeting consumer demand for sustainable products.
