The CGF Coalition of Action on Food Waste is committed to contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals’ efforts to halve per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels, and reduce food loss along production and supply chains, including at the post-harvest stage, by 2030.
Building on the CGF’s work on food waste since 2015, the Coalition has set new objectives for its members to commit to public reporting through a harmonised approach, scale up the 10x20x30 Initiative launched by Champions 12.3, and engage in driving down post-harvest losses.
Twenty leading brands and retailers are members of the Food Waste Coalition. The Coalition is sponsored at Board level by Ken Murphy, Group Chief Executive of Tesco, and Max Koeune, President and CEO of McCain Foods. The Coalition Steering Committee is co-chaired by Janelle Meyers from The Kellogg Company, and Chris Franke from Walmart.
